ESPN silent on Seahawks
The biggest surprise about the 2005 National Football League draft is not one person commented on Seattle Seahawks’ choices.
I take that back. When they used a first-round choice to pick Chris Spencer, Chris Berman said, “I don’t understand that,” and the others grunted in agreement. Never heard another word.
Thought there might be some comment when they picked David Greene from Georgia. He had a very impressive record. (Some say Matt Hasslebeck needs a good backup and if he doesn’t quit throwing interceptions at crucial times, which end up costing a touchdown, he might become the backup.)
Anyway, in two days of both ESPN TV and ESPN radio, not one word has been mentioned about Seattle. Were their choices that pathetic? Were their choices that stupid? Geez, if they were, you would think that would bring some sort of comment.
If you can’t talk about David Greene because he is another John Elway then at least talk about Chris Spencer and the other guys.
