Bi-County: Lind-Ritzville baseball has a three-game lead over second-place Davenport, but the Gorillas (12-4, 7-3) could close the gap Tuesday in Davenport with a doubleheader against the Broncos (15-1, 10-0) starting at 2 p.m. L-R hasn’t lost in 47 days, its last defeat coming at the hands of 1A Bellevue Christian in a season-opening doubleheader. … Davenport softball (9-3, 9-1), leading the Bi-Co by two games over Liberty, almost upset 2A Medical Lake, falling 5-4. Stephanie Morrison had three hits, including a double, for the Gorillas.

Whitman County: Asotin swept LaCrosse-Washtucna 6-3 and 8-0 to maintain its lead in the league baseball standings. Brian Schneider threw a five-hit shutout for the Panthers (12-1, 11-1) to complete the sweep, and Chad Hough homered to provide the offensive spark. Asotin has a 11/2-game lead over second-place Colton (10-3, 10-3). Asotin has taken all three games from Colton this season. L-W drops into third place, three games behind the Panthers. … Nothing has been solved in the softball standings, with Colton, Garfield-Palouse, LaCrosse-Washtucna, Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia and Asotin all separated by one game atop the league.

Panorama: In softball, three teams are tied for first in the loss column. Inchelium (12-2, 12-2), Curlew (14-2, 12-2) and Selkirk (8-2, 8-2) all appear headed toward a three-way tie atop the league, as they are finished playing each other. … Northport (12-1, 11-1) and Republic (12-2, 11-1) are deadlocked atop the Panorama baseball standings, and with only one other team playing better than .500 baseball in league (Springdale), the pair may end up sharing the league title.
