Second Chance Pet Rescue volunteers believe Gunner could be someone’s beloved pet. Does everyone know to call Post Falls Police Department for lost animals in Kootenai County? Although Gunner was found in Athol, he was delivered to the Post Falls Animal Shelter, where workers felt this obedient dog had to have a broken-hearted master. Second Chance took him in rather than see him travel to a no-kill shelter on the coast, or meet an untimely demise. Gunner will play fetch for hours, but is quiet and not bird-fixated like most of his breed. He’s 60 pounds of manners and if his owner doesn’t claim him, he’ll need a new one who won’t have to spend an ounce of training time. Call Second Chance Pet Rescue at 664-4106, or visit www.petfinder.com/shelters/secondchancepetrescue/html for details.
