Bi-County: Lind-Ritzville’s baseball doubleheader against second-place Davenport (13-5, 8-4) was moved to Friday after being rained out on Tuesday. The Broncos (17-1, 12-0) are looking to wrap up a perfect league season with a sweep, and have the top Bi-Co seed into the District 7 baseball tournament, meaning they won’t have to play until May 23 at Avista Stadium, with the guarantee of picking up one of the four state tournament berths.

Panorama: The baseball league tournament begins Monday in Kettle Falls, with Northport (14-1, 13-1) earning the top seed over Republic (14-2, 13-1) because of a lead in the league’s points system, which factors in margin of victory to create a tiebreaker. … Kirsten Fix of St. George’s was named girls distance athlete of the Strandberg Invitational, held last Saturday at Central Valley. Fix won the mile with a time of 5 minutes, 26.50 seconds, and finished second in the 800 meters, .18 seconds behind Walla Walla’s Yasmeen Colis. She also led the girls distance medley team to a second-place finish behind Lewis and Clark. Her efforts helped the Dragons earn a ninth-place team finish.

Whitman County: Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia’s Sam Stone won the 800 at Strandberg with a time of 1:59, a 2-second advantage over the second-place finisher from Eastmont. LaCrosse-Washtucna’s Pam Passmore finished third in the javelin at the same meet, throwing 118 feet, 2 inches. Clarissa Harston from Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 33-11¼. … Asotin baseball’s team won the regular-season championship, earning the top spot into the district tournament, beginning Tuesday.
