Community Colleges of Spokane teams are solidly in the title hunt going into today’s final round of the Northwest Athletic of Community Colleges golf championships at Gold Mountain Golf Complex in Bremerton.

The two-time defending champion Sasquatch women take a seven-shot lead into today’s final 18 holes of the 36-hole tournament. CCS, led by Megan Bruce’s 86, compiled a 271 to Green River’s 278.

Bruce is second in the individual competition, nine back of leader Toni Leung of Tacoma’s 5-over-par 77.

CCS has two of the top three men, including first-round leader Aaron Biel, and is in second place by a stroke behind Skagit Valley, 302-303.

Biel shot a par 72 for a one-shot lead over Kyle Miller of Southwest Oregon. CC Spokane teammate Todd Christensen is tied for third at 74.
