Thanksgiving dinner – Free Thanksgiving meal will be served from 4:30-6:30 p.m. today at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1435, 212 S. David; 535-9315.

Thanksgiving meal – A free community meal will be served from 6-8 p.m. today at City Gate, 170 S. Madison St.; 455-9670.

Union Gospel Mission – The mission will host a Thanksgiving dinner from 7-8 p.m. today, preceded by a musical program in the chapel at 6 p.m. Brunch will be served Thursday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.; 1224 E. Trent Ave.; 535-8510.

Thanksgiving dinner – Sodexho Campus Services, Gonzaga University and St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church will serve a meal noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday in Cataldo Hall, Boone and Astor. Call 323-7004 if you need a ride.

Thanksgiving meal – Free meal Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 528 W. Third Ave.; 838-1431.

Turkey Trot – Fun run sponsored by the Bloomsday Road Runners Club begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at Manito Park duck pond; registration at 8 a.m.; two, three or five miles; suggested donation of cash or food for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
