Playwright’s Forum accepting scripts

The Spokane Civic Theatre is seeking full-length and one-act plays for its 23rd annual Playwright’s Forum Festival. Playwrights within a 500-mile radius of Spokane can submit full-length manuscripts for the festival, and anyone can enter one-act plays. No musicals will be accepted.

The winners will have their plays produced for the festival next June. The winner in the full-length play category will receive a small stipend and must participate in a portion of rehearsals and attend the opening weekend. The one-act winner will receive an honorarium.

Entry deadline is Feb. 1, and the fees are $25 for a full-length play and $10 for a one-act. Entries must be no longer than 60 minutes. All applicants must also complete an application form.

Scripts can be mailed to the Playwrights Forum Festival, Spokane Civic Theatre, P.O. Box 5222, Spokane, WA 99205.

For a list of general requirements or more information, call 325-1413 or visit www.spokanecivictheatre.com.
