Organ concert Friday at LC

Young organ virtuoso Cameron Carpenter will give a concert on the historic Austin pipe organ at Lewis and Clark High School on Friday at 7 p.m.

The 24-year-old Carpenter, a graduate of New York City’s prestigious Juilliard School of Music, has been performing in public since age 11 and made his European debut at age 13. In 1999, he won the Medal for Interpretation at the World Organ Competition in Budapest, Hungary.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, available at the LC business office, 521 W. Fourth Ave.; the Spokane Public Schools cashier’s office, 200 N. Bernard St.; and at the door.

Crawford cabaret at Civic

Spokane singer Abbey Crawford will kick off a six-month cabaret series tonight and Friday at the Firth Chew Studio Theatre in the lower level of the Spokane Civic Theatre, 1020 N. Howard St.

“Once Upon a Song …” will feature Crawford performing her favorite tales told through song, accompanied by pianist Leeann Aerlyn.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments, with the show at 7:30. Tickets are $12, available at tickets@abbeycrawford.com or by calling 218-9732; complete series tickets also are available for $65.

Opera men’s night out

Spokane Coeur d’Alene Opera will present its annual Men’s Night Out program, featuring vocalist Ann Fennessy and The Brent Edstrom Trio, on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Far West Billiards, 1001 W. First Ave.
