Quarterback: C-
The chutzpah shown by Brink this season vanished Saturday.
Running backs: A-
Were it not for Jerome Harrison WSU wouldn’t have gotten so close.
Wide receivers: D+
Without Hill and Jordan this bunch didn’t often get open and didn’t catch it when they did.
Offensive line: B
Nice run blocking and kept Brink’s jersey clean throughout.
Defensive line: C
Little push and early sacks are washed away by late fatigue.
Linebackers: C-
No presence, no playmaking and no replacement for Will Derting.
Secondary: C
Burned by Trent Edwards for touchdowns. Actually, that goes for the entire defense.
Special teams: C+
Blocked field goal, missed field goal. Good coverage, awful decision-making on punt returns.
Coaching: D
Playing with their two best hurt, but where was the fire? Where were the adjustments?
