Before the season, NEA football coaches spoke of parity. They are right on. One game separates the first-place team, Colfax, from the bottom team – Newport. But Newport (2-4, 1-2 in league), in last place after a loss to Kettle Falls last Friday, has already beaten Colfax (4-2, 2-1) on the road this season. Colfax, in first place after its 16-10 win over Freeman last week, hosts Kettle Falls (3-4, 1-2) Friday, while Newport is at second-place Freeman (4-2, 2-1).
