Taking another step down the ladder from legendary status, Bert Grant’s Real Ales is shutting down. Grant’s was the first post-Prohibition brewpub in the United States, according to Realbeer.com, and was founded by the late Bert Grant in Yakima in 1982. The beer reportedly will be brewed by contract at breweries across the country.

No more boring Styrofoam cups
Boring coffee breaks and lackluster holidays now are being revived by Styros, cups decorated with quirky sayings and personal messages.
CoolCupsandStuff’s new product may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but the cups definitely take your mind off the carbs in that slice of bread – and can brighten the darkest of days with their funny phrases.
The cups are made of sturdy Styrofoam that lends itself to reuse, though we don’t recommend confusing the cup with an everyday coffee mug.
Cups for almost every occasion have been created, including the wedding themed “Because I’m the Bride” and the more racy “Alcohol – Helps White People Dance.”
This product may not be one people run out to get, but the cups make for a unique present. The 16-ounce cups are sold in sets of 20 and range from $10 to $20. Styros can be purchased at www.coolcupsandstuff.com, or check the store locator to find an area retailer.
