Cup of Cool Water celebrates 10th year

Cup of Cool Water is celebrating its 10th anniversary Friday with a concert at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard St.

Christian artist Jamie Slocum will perform at the celebration to raise funds for the ministry, which works with the young and homeless in Spokane to help them become followers of Jesus and to get off the streets.

Tickets are $15, through the Cup or at Sower Bible Bookstore, 5023 N. Addison St.

Russian worship service

Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott, Wash., is hosting Pastor Alexander Scheiermann on Sunday at the 11 a.m. Festival Reformation service.

Scheiermann, from Saratov, Russia, will give the sermon in Russian, which will be translated into English.

Halloween and harvest parties

• Liferoads Church, 4209 E. Pacific Ave., is hosting its second annual harvest party today from 1 to 4 p.m.

Activities will include a jumping castle, games, face painting, activity booths and music. Costumes are welcome as long as they are family friendly.

Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S. Crestline St., is offering a harvest party Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

There will be a biblically themed costume contest for kids, a pumpkin-carving contest, a cake walk and candy.

• The Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., is holding its annual Halloween party and haunted hallway Sunday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Kids and grown-ups are invited to don their finest Halloween apparel and be led through the hallway by members of the church’s youth group. There also will be games, refreshments and crafts.

Admission is a can of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Meditation class
