Thanks for supporting Oktoberfest

On behalf of the board and membership of the Post Falls Historical Society, we extend sincere thanks to area residents for their continued support of our 12th annual Oktoberfest. Despite the steady rainfall during the day, nearly 300 persons filled the toasty Q’emiln Pavilion in Post Falls. Good music, tasty German food, door prizes, and a live and silent auction were highlights of the event. Over 100 items were donated to the event. Kathleen Esquibel won the 50/50 raffle.

Special thanks to Mayor Clay Larkin and the city of Post Falls for use of Q’emiln Riverside Park. Band sponsors were Inland Northwest Bank, First Bank, Mountain West Bank, Panhandle State Bank, U.S. Bank, Washington Trust Bank and Linda Wilhelm.

Food sponsors were Beutler & Associates, Century 21 and First American Title. Other donors included Les Schwab Tire Center, Kootenai Electric and Wal-Mart.

Additional thanks to the community volunteers, and the society’s Oktoberfest committee for coordinating the event. A good time was had by all.

Special thanks to all who attended. All proceeds benefit historic preservation projects, which are shared with the public, visitors to the area, and our children. Again, thank you for your support!

Bob Frazey

President, Post Falls Historical Society
