Volunteer help needed

Coeur d’Alene Police Department: Volunteers needed for data entry, filing and general record keeping. Minimum of 16 hours per month. Call Wally, 666-5732.
Harding Family Center: Volunteers needed for various programs and projects to support children’s learning; i.e., putting literacy packets together, staffing school library, helping with computer access, working in the classroom, etc. Hours and days vary. Will adjust to volunteers’ needs. Also, help needed at the Sunday night soup kitchen. Phone receptionist, 666-6755.
Medical Reserve Corps of North Idaho (Panhandle Health District): Volunteers, both medical professionals and nonmedical support, are needed for activation for public health emergencies. Volunteers also needed for nonemergency situations. Phone Kerren, (208) 415-5185.
CASA/Guardian Ad Litem Program: Volunteers needed as Court-Appointed Special Advocates to advocate for the best interests of children who are alleged to have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Involves investigation, recommendations, explanation to the court, facilitation, and monitoring of the program. Training sessions of 42 hours. More information: Heidi, 667-9165.
Big Brothers Big Sisters: Volunteers needed to act as community-based mentors of individual children for 2 to 4 hours a week Volunteers will be matched with children. Call Ruth, 667-0975.
