Girls – Kristin Palmer, sr., CdA (4th); Anna Stone, jr., CdA (6th); Bri Gordon, jr., LC (20th); Erin Lionberger, sr., CdA (30th); Hailey Meyer, jr., LC (32nd); Lisa Helms, jr., LC (40th); Mallory Radford, sr., CdA (43rd).

Noteworthy: CdA’s boys and girls are the defending Region I champs. LC’s boys and girls also qualified for state last year. The regional meet will be held Oct. 19 at Farragut State Park. The top two boys and girls teams and top one-third individuals qualify for state. CdA junior Michael Armon, the 5A state individual champ last year, injured his knee during a summer camp. He had surgery and is out for the year.

Girls – Melissa McFadden, sr., Post Falls (3rd); Molli Lee-Painter, sr., Moscow (15th); Heather Koepl, sr., Post Falls (24th); Angie Whalen, freshman, Post Falls; Alexandra Fife, sr., Moscow (33rd); Adriana Foreman, sophomore, Moscow (49th); Christine Miller, jr., Sandpoint; Shantel Stevenson, soph., Lakeland; Kathleen Vardell, fr., Sandpoint; Megan Bartlett, fr., Sandpoint.

Girls – Chelsea Cazier, jr., Timberlake (8th); Whitney Payment, jr., Priest River (10th); Melody Braden, soph., Bonners Ferry (13th); Kelly Kincella, sr., Timberlake (24th); Casey Hampton, jr., Bonners Ferry (32nd).

Noteworthy: Bonners Ferry’s boys and girls are the defending district champs. Timberlake’s boys and girls also qualified for state last year. The date and site of the district meet has yet to be announced.
