Pretty cats have an advantage when you’re sorting through a hundred or more awaiting adoption at the animal shelter. It’s guys like Whiskers who need to catch a break. His corpulent body and white and gray coat don’t appear extraordinary, but give him a minute to prove that it’s personality that counts. Shelter volunteers describe him as “humanlike.” Decide for yourself if that’s a good thing by visiting Whiskers at the Kootenai Humane Society 11650 N.
