Miranda Weitz had 16 kills and Ashley Cox dished out 40 assists and served four aces as Pullman (5-0) defeated Riverside 3-1 in a Great Northern League volleyball match at Riverside on Tuesday.

Kayla Newberg led the Rams (3-2) in four statistical categories with 17 kills, four aces, 15 digs and three blocks.

In other GNL action, Kia Gibson had a nine-point service run in the first game and Kelli Tikker had a seven-point run in the second as Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) swept visiting Medical Lake (0-5). Tikker had 15 kills and five aces for the Eagles (3-1). … Jordan Emmil had 39 digs and Caitlin McGrane added 10 kills to lead Colville (3-2) over host Chewelah 3-1. Brooke Schanzenbach had four kills, three aces, nine digs and six blocks for the Cougars (2-2).

Laura Beedle tied the match for Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) in the 71st minute, and four players scored in the shootout as the Eagles (3-3, 2-1 Great Northern League) defeated host Chewelah (1-5, 0-3) 2-1 in GNL play. … Katie Spangenberg scored a hat trick and added an assist to lead Pullman (6-1, 3-0) over visiting Deer Park (3-4, 1-2) 6-0. … Riverside freshman Tabitha Grow tied the match in the 30th minute and won it in the 56th as the Rams (4-2, 3-0) earned a 2-1 win over visiting Colville (3-2, 1-2).
