Road construction checklist

Patience will be in order this summer as several major projects tear up Kootenai County streets before improving them.

Work has begun on Prairie Avenue, and by the height of the construction season, Ramsey, Diagonal and Lancaster roads all will be under construction.

And the Idaho Transportation Department is planning to repave much of I-90 in Kootenai County this summer.

Here’s the lowdown on several of this construction season’s biggest projects:
