Book sales benefit library

The Spokesman-Review

It’s one of the signs of spring. The canopies go up around the flagpole at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, 201 E. Harrison Ave., and the Front Porch Book Sales resume Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Staffed by the Friends of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, the book sales benefit library youth programs such as Summer Reading and other year-round activities.

The selection includes fiction and nonfiction, reference books, children’s books and large-print volumes. Prices are 50 cents for hardbacks and 25 cents for paperbacks with other items prices as marked.

The library accepts donations of books that are in sanitary and usable condition. Donations are screened for possible use in the library’s collection before they are included in any sale. The Better Book Sale, offered by the Friends at the library Tuesdays and Wednesdays, features like-new and gently used books in the $1 to $6 range.

For more news and information about the library visit www.cdalibrary.org on the Internet or call (208) 769-2315.
