Reds 5, Nationals 0: At Washington, Bronson Arroyo threw eight innings of one-hit ball, and Cincinnati jumped out to an early lead just as its has all series in a victory over the Nationals that completed a three-game sweep.

Brewers 5, Braves 4: At Milwaukee, Ben Sheets won for the first time since tearing a back muscle last August, and the Brewers beat Atlanta for their first sweep of the Braves.

Cardinals 4, Pirates 3: At St. Louis, Albert Pujols hit a game-winning single in the ninth inning after Jason Isringhausen allowed a tying home run to Jose Hernandez in the top half, giving the Cardinals a victory over Pittsburgh and a three-game sweep.

Marlins 7, Cubs 5: At Chicago, pinch hitter Wes Helms had a tiebreaking, two-run double in the eighth inning to help Florida beat Chicago.

Diamondbacks 3, Padres 2: At San Diego, Orlando Hernandez threw six strong innings, leading Arizona to a win over the punchless Padres for a three-game sweep.

Mets 9, Giants 7 (11): At San Francisco, Chris Woodward lined a go-ahead double in the 11th inning and scored on Jose Reyes’ single, lifting New York to a victory over the Giants.

Phillies 9, Rockies 5: At Philadelphia, David Bell hit a three-run homer and Pat Burrell drove in two runs, helping the Phillies beat Colorado.

Astros 8, Dodgers 5: At Houston, Lance Berkman had a two-run homer and three RBIs, backing Wandy Rodriguez and leading the Astros over Los Angeles.
