City public works chief to resign
The director of Spokane’s Public Works and Utilities division is leaving his post to manage the local engineering office of CH2M Hill.
Roger Flint has worked for the City of Spokane for 20 years, the last six running the 800-employee unit with a $200 million annual budget.
Flint’s new job as a vice president and manager with CH2M Hill was announced Friday. He will take over for retiring CH2M Hill manager Jim Correll, who has led the firm’s Spokane Office for 27 years. Correll’s retirement will be effective at the end of June when he plans to move to Vancouver with his spouse, Patti, in order to be near his children and grandchildren.
The engineering firm has worked as a contractor and consultant on many city public works programs, mostly on water and sewage projects.
Flint, who earns a $104,400 salary, will be replaced during the interim at City Hall by deputy public works director Dave Mandyke.
