Irma E. Conley celebrated her 100th birthday on Monday. She was born in Hendley, Neb., on Aug. 14, 1906. She has lived in the Cheney area for 94 years.

Conley met her husband, Elmer, in Cheney. They were married in 1937. He died in 1989.

She attributes living a long and healthy life to good friends and having a good time.

Conley enjoyed going on trips. When asked what her most memorable moment in her past 100 years has been, she replied taking a trip to Chicago in 1951, with her niece to see her nephew, who was in the Navy at the time.
