Mariners need to clean house

When the Mariners start their housecleaning process, and I certainly hope they do that very soon, allow me to give them some names for their list.

First of all, at the top of the list, Jamie Moyer, then Joel Pineiro and then Richie Sexson (is there a worse clutch hitter in the league?).

The Mariners have some young talent in Tacoma. Get them up here. And when you are cleaning don’t forget the TV booth. There may be a worst announcer at some level than Ron Fairly, but in my 70-plus years I have not heard him/her. He is redundant, repetitive and it’s not unusual he is wrong. That’s on his good days. Dave Neihaus is not far behind. The only pitch he thinks he knows is the change-up. He yells out “change” and you look at the TV & see the jugs gun saying 90 mph. Among other things, he has trouble keeping track of the count as well.

Is there a problem with our hitting coach? With the personnel we have on the roster and the poor performance some of them are experiencing, I would think a good hitting coach would have corrected that problem long ago. Then there is Mike Hargrove???
