Join the Friends of Paulsen House on Sept. 9 for the second annual “Growing Our Heritage” gala art auction.
Beginning at 6 p.m., in the Great Hall at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 127 E. 12th Ave., artwork by local artists will be auctioned to raise money for the preservation and maintenance of Paulsen House. Gourmet hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar will be available to guests.
Six pieces of artwork by local high school students will also be sold in a silent auction.
Tickets are $35 per person.
Reservation deadline is Friday.
Paulsen House is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane.

Cabaret benefits theater
Enjoy cabaret? Visit CenterStage, 1017 W. First Ave., on Friday for its Burglary Benefit Bash.
CenterStage was burglarized in July, suffering a loss of an estimated $7,000.
The Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d’Alene has volunteered to help raise funds for CenterStage and will perform excerpts from its season opener “Forever Plaid” at 8 p.m. Food and drinks will be available beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
All proceeds will benefit CenterStage second-floor theater.
