Dust Devils down Indians 6-1

The Spokesman-Review

PASCO – Andrew Graham tossed six no-hit innings, striking out nine along the way, to lead the Tri-City Dust Devils to a 6-1 victory over the Spokane Indians on Friday night at Dust Devil Stadium.

Just two Indians reached base against Graham (3-1) – Chris Davis with a second-inning walk and Nickolas Cadena when he was hit by a pitch in the sixth.

The win pulls the Dust Devils (34-31) to within two games of East Division-leading Boise, which dropped a 7-3 decision at Yakima.

The last-place Indians fell to 21-44 on the season.

Spokane scored its lone run against Dust Devils reliever Ethan Katz, who relieved Graham to start the seventh inning.

Thomas Berkery led off with a single, advanced to third on a Chad Tracy single and scored on a groundout by Joey Hooft.

Tri-City jumped on Indians starter Michael Wagner (3-6) for a first-inning run. Jeff Kindel’s two-out single drove in Anthony Jackson.

The Dust Devils added a run in the fourth off Wagner and took control of the game with a three-run sixth inning.
