Theater dedication – A gala dedication for the Met Theater turned Bing Crosby Theater beginning with a free Bing Crosby film festival from noon-6 p.m. Friday, 901 W. Sprague. The dedication begins at 7 p.m. followed by a cabaret performance by Kathryn Crosby at 8. Drum performance – A free concert by the Rogers High School Steel Drum Band, 6-8 p.m. Friday at Rogers, 1622 E. Wellesley. Refreshments will be served. (509) 354-6600.

Holiday Festival – The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture hosts its annual Family MACFest, noon-3 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 2316 W. First. Tour Campbell House, make craft projects, learn about various holiday traditions, listen to live music and check out the museum’s exhibits. Admission is $10 per family. MAC members are free. Engineers Forum of Spokane – Greg Bever, Journal of Business publisher, will speak on “The Trucking Industry: Its Importance and How it Affects Our Future,” noon Monday at the Holiday Inn Airport, 1616 Windsor Drive. Lunch is $13. (509) 244-3467.

Internet safety presentation – Hosted by a member of the Spokane Police Department’s Sexual Exploitation Unit, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Browne Elementary, 5012 N. Driscoll Blvd. The session is for parents with teens who use the Internet. Child care will be available. (509) 625-4068.
