Compass Club luncheon – The women’s club for welcoming newcomers to the area will gather at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. First, at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The cost is to be determined. Those attending may tour the museum. Call 226-5075 for reservations.

Spokane City Forum – Raymond Reyes, associate mission vice president for intercultural relations at Gonzaga University, will speak on “Near Nature, Near Perfect: Spokane’s Passion for the Possible,” 11:45 a.m. Jan. 17 at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S.
