5A Region I: Shane Moser scored 17 points and Andrew Packwood added 14 points and seven rebounds as Lewiston (20-1) defeated Lake City 75-53 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 championship series.

Ty Stoddard scored a game-high 20 for the Timberwolves (10-12), who will try to even the series in Lewiston on Tuesday.

3A District I: Zech Szalasi scored 13 of his 21 points in the second quarter, as St. Maries (4-17) went on a 19-2 run to close the half en route to a 55-51 victory over Timberlake (4-17) in a loser-out game at North Idaho College.

The Lumberjacks will face Bonners Ferry (14-6) in one of tonight’s semifinals.
