As league basketball gets underway Friday, a couple of teams had impressive non-league seasons. Pullman’s boys (6-1) pulled off a two-game sweep at the SunDome Classic in Yakima, defeating East Valley-Yakima and Hanford, the favorite in the 3A Mid-Valley League. Medical Lake’s girls, coming off a 7-17 season, are 5-0 under first-year head coach Val VonLehe and led by junior post Richelle Daily, who posted back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Colfax and Priest River.
