Williams Inland Distributors, with professional Tom Carey, wrapped up the title at the two-day Bank of America Pro-Am Championship at Indian Canyon Golf Course on Thursday.

The team, with amateurs Tim Johnson and Tony, Travis and Roger Williams, shot a second-round 116 and finished at 234.

Odom Northwest also finished at 234, but Williams Inland Distributors won the tiebreaker.

North Central High graduate Chris Mitchell, of Portland Golf Club, and Scott Krieger of Broadmoor Golf Club both shot 8-under-par 63s for low professional honors of the day.

Grant Riddle, using a 7-iron, had the shot of the day, a hole-in-one on the 160-yard 13th hole.

The first round of the Rosauers Open begins this morning.

•Canadian Peter Ahn eliminated Gonzaga’s Jimmy Hayes 6 and 5 in the round of 16 at the 105th Pacific Northwest Golf Association men’s amateur championship at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Hayes began the day with a 3 and 2 win over former Seattle Mariners pitcher Erik Hanson of Kirkland, Wash. In the same round, Washington State’s Jordan Mason lost to Canadian Adam Hadwin, 3 and 2.

Women’s golf

Allison Goodman of San Diego defeated WSU’s Brooke Henderson 6 and 5 in the semifinals of the 105th PNGA women’s amateur championship at Walla Walla Country Club.

Henderson defeated Jill Walker of Weiser, Idaho, 4 and 2 in the quarterfinals. WSU’s Heather O’Leary lost her quarterfinal match, 6 and 5 to Shannon Yocum of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.

Yocum will meet Goodman in the championship.

Baseball

Shawn Gizynski’s sixth-inning RBI single snapped a 4-all tie and vaulted the Spokane RiverHawks to a 6-4 road win over the Moses Lake Pirates in the opener of the three-game West Coast Collegiate League series at Larson Field.

Brent Mertens and Carl Uhl had two RBIs apiece for the RiverHawks (16-6), who maintained a three-game lead over second-place Wenatchee. The last-place Pirates are 7-15.

Tommy Tribbett (3-0) earned the win in relief and Josh Williamson earned his fifth save.
