ELECTED/APPOINTED

The board of trustees at Shoshone Medical Center has appointed Jerry Brantz as the chief executive officer/chief financial officer. He has been the interim chief executive officer since March 2006.

Tom Daugherty has been elected president of the North Idaho College Alumni Association. He is the president of Blue Water Technologies and graduated from NIC in 1980.

Kay Carnes has been appointed to the board of directors at AmericanWest Bank. Carnes is a professor at Gonzaga University and is a certified public accountant.

GIFTS

Hallmark Hyundai has granted $25,000 to the Rypien Foundation. The funds will be used for childhood cancer clinical research at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
