Cubs 6, Cardinals 3: At Chicago, Carlos Zambrano won his ninth straight decision as the Cubs beat St. Louis.

Rockies 3, Padres 1: At Denver, Jason Jennings pitched seven solid innings to help Colorado beat San Diego.

Pirates 2, Giants 1 (10): At Pittsburgh, Jose Hernandez’s single in the 10th inning scored Jack Wilson as the Pirates completed a sweep of San Francisco.

Dodgers 4, Nationals 3: At Los Angeles, Cesar Izturis doubled home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning and the Dodgers beat Washington.

Diamondbacks 7, Astros 6: At Houston, Conor Jackson hit a go-ahead home run off Brad Lidge in the ninth inning and Arizona rallied to beat the Astros.

Brewers 4, Reds 3: At Milwaukee, Ben Sheets allowed two runs in eight-plus innings and Kevin Mench drove in four runs to lead the Brewers past Cincinnati.

Phillies 11-9, Marlins 5-2: At Philadelphia, Chase Utley homered and extended his hitting streak to 31 games to help the Phillies complete a doubleheader sweep over Florida. In the opener, Mike Lieberthal hit a grand slam to help secure the win for Philadelphia.
