Emeralds double up Indians

EUGENE, Ore. – Willy Crafort was 2 for 4, homered in the fourth inning and scored two runs to lead the Eugene Emeralds to an 8-4 win over the Spokane Indians in Northwest League baseball action Sunday.

Thomas Berkery homered to lead off the second inning for Spokane (1-6), which is tied for last in the East Division.

Wally Backman Jr. drove in two runs for the Indians, scoring Billy Killian in the fifth and Christopher Davis in a two-run eighth.

Geoff Vandel picked up the win for the Emeralds (5-2), scattering three hits in two innings.
