Zach Gianukakis poured in 38 points to lead the Tigers over Toutle Lake. The senior wing, who scored 23 points after halftime, also had eight rebounds, six steals, three assists and three blocked shots.

Younger brother Derek collected 12 points, a game-high 11 boards and two steals before fouling out. Junior Todd Orestad added 13 points and four steals.

Senior Ryan Hoff topped the Ducks with 23 points, 15 in the second half, eight rebounds and three assists. Sophomore Brandon Bartlett was also in double figures with 10 points.

Henry Cross scored 13 straight points in the second half to spark Neah Bay in its win.

Riverside Christian’s 7-0 run knotted the score at 39 but the Red Devils closed out the game with a decisive 18-4 burst. Cross finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead both teams. Timothy Greene, also a senior, added 15 points.

Senior Trevor Pynch and sophomore Chris Pynch each scored 15 points for the Crusaders, the upperclassman also collecting six steals, five assists and four rebounds.

Nik Nilson shot 63 percent from the field (10-16) en route to a game-high 27 points in the Huskies’ victory.

The senior post also grabbed seven rebounds. Junior Trent Atkins scored 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting and sophomore Taylor Weist added 10, hitting all four of his field goals, as Morton went 24 of 46 overall (56.5 percent).

Senior Daniel Westra was 7 for 9 to lead the Hurricanes with 22 points, and Dan VanderKooy added 11 points. However, Mount Vernon Christian shot just 33 percent as a team, going 2 of 16 (12.5 percent) in the first half and trailed by 19 points.

Robbie Chalmers’ 3-pointer from the top of key with 1:19 left put the Patriots ahead for good in their win.

Following Liberty Christian’s only 3-point goal of the game, Loren Bodeau hit three straight free throws to secure the victory.

Bodeau finished with 21 points to lead all scorers, also getting a team-high seven rebounds. Ben Price contributed 16 points, six rebounds and two steals. Chalmers added four steals.

Junior Matt Schroeder scored a team-high 17 points for the Wildcats. Senior Shayne Lewis got 10 points and 13 rebounds, including five offensive boards.

Joe Grewe scored the go-ahead basket with 1:07 left then Northwest Christian made six free throws in the final 50 seconds to upset top-ranked Willapa Valley.

Freshman guard Chase Ramey had a brilliant all-around game with 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Senior center Karl Richardson posted 18 points for the Crusaders.

Senior Ryan Freeman led the Vikings with 20 points and eight rebounds. Junior Brady Langer added 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.

Playing beat the clock to perfection, Chad Den Boer hit a leaning 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the defending state champs over St. John-Endicott.

Just seconds earlier senior Bryce Johnson’s baseline jumper had put the Eagles in front 53-51 with 4.5 seconds remaining.

Den Boer, a senior guard, amassed 22 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Joel Koopmans added 12 points for the Knights, who used just six players.

Johnson’s 14 points paced a balance attack for St. John-Endicott. Brent Leifer and Jesse Butcher each scored 11 points and Justin Taylor had 10.

Riggs Yarbro, a 6-5 freshman, had 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Lions’ win over Tacoma Baptist.

Senior Josh Munoz added 15 points and junior Phillip Friehe 13 for Moses Lake Christian, which built up a 17-point halftime lead and went on to win by 18.

Crusaders senior Jason Shulhauser posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jeff Gudaitis, also a senior, had 11 points, four rebounds, seven steals and two assists.
