Pierce’s late basket leads Celtics to OT win
Paul Pierce made a 22-footer at the buzzer to help the Boston Celtics beat the Washington Wizards 116-115 in overtime on Tuesday night in Washington.
Pierce scored 31 points, including the Celtics’ last seven points in overtime, to secure the win.

Rockets 93, Timberwolves 87: At Minneapolis, Yao Ming topped 20 points for the eighth straight game, scoring 30 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to lead Houston’s win over Minnesota.
Bulls 95, Nets 87: At Chicago, Andres Nocioni scored a career-high 24 points and Kirk Hinrich added 22 points and nine assists in a win over New Jersey.
Mavericks 93, Trail Blazers 87: At Dallas, Jason Terry hit several key baskets late in the fourth quarter and Jerry Stackhouse made a 3-pointer with 41 seconds left in a win over Portland.
Clippers 98, Spurs 85: At Los Angeles, Elton Brand scored 30 points in a win over San Antonio.
Police interview Jones
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damon Jones has been interviewed by Westlake, Ohio, police after an Arizona woman reported a possible sexual offense. Jones denied wrongdoing.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred late Friday or early Saturday and did not involve a weapon. Police would not identify the person who filed the complaint or say how or even if it involved Jones.
