SEATTLE – Pau Gasol had the first triple-double of his career with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, and the Memphis Grizzlies routed the Seattle SuperSonics 99-74 on Wednesday night.
Gasol found Jake Tsakalidis along the baseline for a dunk with 2:32 left for his 10th assist – setting a career high – as the Grizzlies won for the fourth time in their last five.
Tsakalidis and Gasol dominated the interior against Seattle’s young frontcourt. Tsakalidis had a season-high 17 points and 15 rebounds, shooting 7 of 10, as Memphis outrebounded Seattle 51-35.

Johan Petro scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds, and Luke Ridnour scored 10 points for the Sonics, who were trying to win consecutive games for the first time since late January.
Atkins was 4 of 5 and scored 12 points in the third quarter, when the Grizzlies turned a seven-point halftime lead into a 19-point advantage.
Atkins scored seven points during a 9-2 run that pushed the Grizzlies’ lead to 62-46 midway through the quarter. Gasol added eight points during the quarter.
