Printmakers from across the Northwest will display their work in the “Printmaking” exhibit through Friday in the North Idaho College Boswell Hall Corner Gallery.

“This is a great exhibit for visitors to the exhibit to get a feel for the whole range of techniques and styles of printmaking,” said NIC art instructor and Corner Gallery coordinator Allie Vogt.

The printmaking process is used to create multiple original pieces of art, or prints, which are typically produced from laying ink or paint on linoleum, metal or wood and transferring the image to paper.

Artists featured in the exhibit include Gonzaga University associate professor Mary Farrell, Jundt Art Museum assistant curator Karen Lohrke Kaiser, Spokane Falls Community College art instructor Jeanette Kirishian, Whitworth College professor Scott Kolbo, artist Eric Rau of Spokane, and NIC printmaking instructor Joan Grey Smith.

Corner Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
