Greater Spokane League: Rogers scored five runs with two outs in the top of the seventh to rally to a 9-7 win over host Mt. Spokane. Mandy Carlon allowed just one earned run in a complete game, and Athena Gracier went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and two runs scored to lead the Pirates (5-1). Mindy Yorlano hit a sixth-inning grand slam for the Wildcats (3-3). … Kelcie Vallies had 15 strikeouts and added two hits while scoring three runs to lead North Central to a 12-4 win over host Gonzaga Prep (3-4). Maggie Capwell went 4 for 5 and scored two runs for the Indians (5-1), who also got three hits and two RBIs from Alicia Kehler. … Melanie Mobley had a double, a triple and four RBIs in Mead’s 11-run third inning, and the Panthers went on to rout host Lewis and Clark (0-6) 17-1 in five innings at Hart Field. Erin Norris had two hits and scored four runs for Mead (3-3), and freshman Taneesha Pounder pitched a complete-game two-hitter to get the win. … Mandy Mikelson had two hits, including a home run, four RBIs and pitched two shutout innings to pick up the win for University in a 15-1 five-inning romp of host East Valley (1-6). Theresa Tveit went 3 for 3 for the Titans (6-0). U-Hi had five players with multiple hits. … Shadle Park put up 15 runs in the fifth inning en route to a 21-1 win over host Ferris (1-6) in five innings. Tressa Predisik had three hits, including two fifth-inning triples, and six RBIs to lead the Highlanders (7-0). Sam Skillingstad recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed just two hits in the win.

Great Northern League: Matt Dougherty scored two first-half goals on Kevin McNeil assists, and Deer Park (3-3, 3-2) notched a 3-1 win over Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) (5-2, 1-1) in Deer Park. … Justin Linaselter scored two goals, and Medical Lake defeated host Colville (0-4, 0-3) by a 5-0 score. Ben Gosser chipped in a goal and an assist for the Cardinals (2-3, 2-1). … Mingfay Wang poured in a hat trick and an assist for Pullman in a 12-0 rout of visiting Chewelah (0-4, 0-3). Arm Alamri added two goals and an assist, Jason McArthur had two goals and Kyle Kinard chipped in three assists for the Greyhounds (5-0, 3-0).

Boys track and field

Greater Spokane League: Lewis and Clark edged Central Valley by one point and both teams routed West Valley in a tri-meet at West Valley. The Tigers’ DeRoice Solomon grabbed a first-place finish in the triple jump and a second in the long jump, and Austin Cogar took first in the long jump and second in the high jump. The Bears’ Sean Coyle notched first place in the 800 and 1,600, and Sean Davis took first in the low and intermediate hurdles. … East Valley swept Ferris and University and the Saxons beat the Titans in a tri-meet at East Valley. Anthony Zachery of Ferris was the star of the meet, grabbing first-place finishes in the 100, 200 and long jump. Nick Atwood led the Knights with wins in the 1,600 and 3,200. Kevin Martin and Dan Turner led the Titans with one first and one second-place finish apiece. … Cheney took first place in all but three events and ran away win an 81-point win over Clarkston at Cheney. Dan Sigley swept all three distance races for the Blackhawks, and Bob Wilske took first in the high jump, discus throw and shot put. Jordan Star won the long jump and triple jump for the Bantams.“Colville Invitational: Colville captured the team title at the 10-school invitational. The Indians grabbed six first-place finishes, including Justin Rose, who won the 3,200 run and placed second in the 1,600. Newport finished second overall, and Inchelium’s Cody Peone won the 400 and the triple jump.

Girls track and field

Greater Spokane League: Central Valley swept Lewis and Clark and West Valley, and the Tigers topped the Eagles in a tri-meet at West Valley. The Bears were the top finishers in six events. LC won eight events, including Eleanor Siler’s wins in the 200 and 400. … Ferris blew past University and East Valley, and the Knights defeated the Titans in a tri-meet at East Valley. Amber Quann was the top finisher in the 100 and 400 and grabbed a second-place finish in the 200 for the Saxons. Ferris also got two first-place finishes from Aly Spear in the hurdle races, and a first and second place from both Lindsay Allred and Liz Boyden. Eleya Schuerch won the long jump and triple jump for EV. …Crystal Simmons won the 100 and 400 to lead Cheney to a 98-point margin of victory over Clarkston in Cheney. Amanda Swenson grabbed a first-place finish in the 200 and a third place in the 100 for the Blackhawks. Alyssa James took two of the Bantams’ three first-place finishes with wins in the low and intermediate hurdles.

Colville Invitational: Colville won eight of the 11 running events and captured the team title at the invitational. The Indians’ Brittney Williams took first place in the 1,600 and 3,200. Deer Park took second overall behind Mackenzie Johnson, who finished first in the high jump and second in the 200 and intermediate hurdles. Third-place Chewelah preformed well in the field, grabbing four of the six events. Amanda Liuguenin was first in discus and second in shot put for the Cougars.

Boys golf

Great Northern League: Corey Meyers and Scott Huffman each shot a 2-under-par round of 70 for Deer Park to lead the Stags to a seven-stroke win in the first league match at the Deer Park Golf Course. Pullman finished second overall and had the third and fourth individual placers in Jeff Jones at 74 and Chili Williams at 76.

Girls golf

Great Northern League: Pullman took the team title in the first league match at the par-72 Deer Park Golf Course, topping second-place Colville by 19 strokes. Ashley Scourey led the Greyhounds with a third-place score of 91. Colville’s Caroline Geiger and Chewelah’s Kelsey Harting shared medalist honors with rounds of 89.
