Greater Spokane League: District championships and regional seeding are at stake as the playoffs continue today and Wednesday at Spokane Falls.

League champion East Valley and Cheney play at 7 tonight for the 3A District 8 title and the right to stay home for Saturday’s GSL/Mid-Valley League regional first-round match. The loser plays on the road.

At 5, North Central and West Valley play for the league’s third regional berth and a home match in the four-team, loser-out portion of the regional.

Wednesday, Ferris and Mead play for the 4A District 8 title and state berth at 7 p.m., following a loser-out match between Lewis and Clark and Central Valley. The victor plays the Ferris-Mead loser for a playoff with the Big Nine runner-up for a third Eastern Regional state berth

In Monday loser-out, first-round 4A district play, LC advanced with a 1-0 triumph over University on Dan Fuller’s first career goal. CV moved on with a 4-1 victory over Mt. Spokane on three second-half goals.

Great Northern League: Jimie Rebuelta scored two minutes into the game and Cameron Dornquast added an insurance goal in the 75th minute as Riverside won at Lakeside (9-3, 7-2) 2-0 in a makeup of an April 27 match. Robbie Scott recorded the shutout for the Rams (8-4, 7-3). Riverside pulled within a half game of the Eagles with the two teams facing off again today.

Softball

Greater Spokane League: Sam Skillingstad had another dominant performance for Shadle Park, pitching a five-inning no-hitter in the Highlanders 12-0 win over visiting Cheney (4-12). Skillingstad struck out 12 and gave up just one walk while hitting 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Robin Conrad also batted 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Highlanders (15-0).

Boys golf

Inland Empire Invitational: Eastmont of Wenatchee edged Central Valley by one stroke to take the team title at the 25-team tournament that included all GSL and Big Nine schools. University’s Hank Frame was the medalist with a 3-under-par 69 at the Spokane Country Club. Dustin Poe of Ferris was the only other competitor under par with a 70. Ferris, Mead and Gonzaga Prep rounded out the top five.

Great Northern League: Deer Park and Pullman each registered a 433 and shared the team title in the third GNL event at Dominion Meadows in Colville. The Stags’ Corey Meyers shot a 4-over 76 to claim medalist honors. The Greyhounds’ Dillon Williams was one shot back in second.

Girls golf

Greater Spokane League: Gonzaga Prep’s Annie Brophy was the medalist for the fourth straight week after shooting a 76 at the fifth GSL event at Esmeralda. Lewis and Clark beat out Mead for the top team with a 395. They have traded first and second each of the first five weeks.

Great Northern League: Ashley Scourey was medalist with a 90 and led three Pullman golfers in the top 10. Pullman shot a 516 for a 15-stroke victory over Colville in the third GNL event at Dominion Meadows in Colville. Caroline Geiger of Colville was the runner-up with a 94.
