Idaho head men’s basketball coach George Pfeifer Wednesday announced the signing of Miles Webb to play for the Vandals next fall.

The junior guard averaged 18.7 points per game last season for North Dakota State College of Science.

Men’s golf

Idaho freshman Jacob Koppenberg shot a final-round 73 and finished in 16th place as the Vandals finished seventh at the Western Athletic Conference tournament at Crane Creek Country Club in Boise.

Community Colleges of Spokane split its Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges doubleheader at Blue Mountain in Pendleton, Ore. Ben Mathiason went the distance as CCS won the finale 5-0.

Women’s track and field

Eastern Washington’s Haley Heater earned Big Sky Athlete of the Week honors after her 400-meter hurdle performance at the Sacramento State Invitational.

“Washington State’s Diana Pickler will not compete in this weekend’s Pacific-10 Conference multievents championship after she re-injured her left ankle in last Saturday’s meet.
