CdA Symphony to play Beethoven’s Ninth

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony will present its first performance of Beethoven’s monumental Ninth Symphony on Saturday at North Idaho College.

Featured will be soloists Susan Windham, soprano; Patti Blankenship, alto; Joseph Muir, tenor; and Steve Mortier, baritone, along with the Northwest Sacred Music Chorale and North Idaho College Concert Choir.

The orchestra’s season-ending concert, which also will include Bizet’s First Symphony, begins Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in NIC’s Schuler Auditorium.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for students, through TicketsWest outlets (325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com).
