Greater Spokane League District Tournament: Shadle Park’s Tyler Nelson shot a 5-over par 75 at Liberty Lake Golf Course for a two-round 145 total, and heads the field of eight advancing to the May 23-24 state tournament at Qualchan. University freshman Hank Frame finished tied for second with Mt. Spokane’s Bobby Moore at 147. Lewis and Clark’s Nick LaVelle finished tied for fourth at 148 with the aid of a hole-in-one. Mead’s Jordan Lee also landed in fourth, along with Ferris’ Jordan Poe, who will join teammate Sean Bulger (149) at state. Gonzaga Prep’s Sean King qualified at 150. Defending state champ Nick Grigsby of Central Valley failed to qualify.

Great Northern League Tournament: Pullman’s Dillon Williams tied for medalist honors with a 76 to lead his team to a first-place finish at Hangman Valley Golf Course. Deer Park’s Corey Meyers also shot a 76, as the Stags finished second to the Greyhounds, who placed five golfers among the top 20 advancing to Districts.

•Bi-County League playoffs: Katie Brantley and Kayleigh Fisk combined for a no-hit, five strikeout performance in Davenport’s 11-0 blanking of visiting Northwest Christian (5-13). The duo also combined for three hits and three RBIs for the Gorillas (17-5), who will play Liberty in a semifinal contest on Saturday at Medical Lake. … Jenny Harp struck out nine of the 17 batters she faced and drove in two runs, as Odessa rolled visiting Wilbur-Creston 11-1. The Tigers (20-1) will play Reardan on Saturday at Medical Lake in a semifinal, while the Wildcats (2-14) face Lind-Ritzville in a loser-out contest. … Jessica Mangis gave up two hits while striking out eight, as Liberty crushed visiting Almira/Coulee-Hartline 16-1. Angela Bethel had two hits, three runs, and four RBIs for the Lancers (16-5). The Warriors (3-12) face Northwest Christian in a loser-out contest on Saturday at Medical Lake.

Boys soccer

District 7 2A playoffs: Erik Kuno’s goal at the 69-minute mark sealed Riverside’s 4-0 blanking of visiting Deer Park (8-8) in a loser-out contest. Sam Graves also scored for the Rams (11-4), who will play undefeated Pullman on Saturday in the district championship. … Mingfei Wang registered a hat trick and Evan McCain netted a pair of goals, as Pullman (17-0) defeated visiting Lakeside (10-7) 5-1 in a loser-out game.
