Padres 8, Brewers 5: At San Diego, Jake Peavy matched his career high with 13 strikeouts and allowed two hits in seven scoreless innings as San Diego topped Milwaukee for its 11th victory in 12 games.
Reds 5, Nationals 4 (11): At Cincinnati, Ken Griffey Jr. defeated Washington with a walk-off, three-run homer in his return to action after a month.
