Cougars open with Central

Washington State’s men’s basketball team opens its season with a 2 p.m. exhibition game against Central Washington today at Beasley Coliseum. Admission is free.

The game will be the first for new head coach Tony Bennett and will serve as the Cougars’ final preparation before heading to Milwaukee for a tournament next weekend.

Central Washington is led by Lance Den Boer of Sunnyside, who played as a freshman at WSU before transferring to the Wildcats.
