Former “Fat Actress” Kirstie Alley on Monday made good on a year-old promise to show up on Oprah Winfrey’s show in a bikini.

To the sounds of the Commodores’ “Brick House,” the 5-foot-8 Alley – who has lost 75 pounds after hitting a high of 220 – strutted onto the stage in a maroon two-piecer.

Alley, 55, said she never would have had the courage to wear a bikini onstage when she was 30, despite being slender.

“I think women – I don’t think we ever feel like we’re good enough,” she said. “We don’t feel like we’re thin enough or pretty enough or smart enough or work hard enough. And we are good enough.”

Alley, who spoofed her weight gain in Showtime’s “Fat Actress,” formerly starred in “Cheers” and “Veronica’s Closet.”

Meanwhile, two diet doctors whom Winfrey touted on her show last Thursday – Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz – have seen their “YOU” books and DVDs shoot to the top of Amazon.com’s best-seller list.

To him, it’s yesterday’s news

Paul McCartney says he bears no ill will toward his estranged second wife, despite divorce proceedings including lurid allegations about both his substance and physical abuse.

McCartney’s lawyers have said he will vigorously defend himself against claims he had physically assaulted Heather Mills McCartney.

But he’s keeping mum on the details, which he says will “put less noses out of joint, and I think it is a more dignified way to go about it.”

Props to my man?

Snoop Dogg was booked Monday on one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon stemming from a September incident in which airport security officers found a collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage.

If convicted, the 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, could be sentenced to three years in prison.

At the time of his arrest, he told deputies the baton was a prop for a movie.

Recovery to road

Singer Marianne Faithfull, a ‘60s icon who once dated Mick Jagger, has made a full recovery from breast cancer and plans to resume a postponed world tour.

Her spokesman said Faithfull, 59, had undergone surgery and was making “a rapid return to full health.”

And an exuberant Kylie Minogue arrived home in Sydney, Australia, over the weekend to complete a world tour she called off last year when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Since her surgery, Minogue, 38, has since become a vocal advocate for cancer screening and support groups.

“American Idol” judge Simon Cowell, on the latest round of auditions: “Seattle is going to be known for something other than coffee this year. They had the worst bunch of miserable singers that I’ve ever met in my life. It was two days of total misery. And the weather was bad, as well.”
