Jaromir Jagr scored twice during another milestone night and Henrik Lundqvist made 34 saves in his third career shutout, carrying the New York Rangers to a 4-0 victory Tuesday over the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes at Madison Square Garden.

Just two nights after Jagr became the 16th NHL player to score 600 goals, he passed Jari Kurri to move into 15th place. Brendan Shanahan, who got to 600 earlier this season, and Marcel Hossa also scored.

Lundqvist has picked up his game and was sharp throughout, making 23 saves in the first two periods and protecting a lead all night.

Oilers 2, Flames 1: At Edmonton, Alberta, Petr Sykora had two goals and the Oilers beat Calgary.

The teams were tied with just more than 4 minutes left when Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff allowed a rebound on Ales Hemsky’s shot and Sykora was there for his 11th goal of the season.

Ducks 5, Sharks 0: At Anaheim, Calif., Teemu Selanne scored his 498th and 499th career goals, Jean-Sebastien Giguere recorded his 24th career shutout, and the Ducks routed San Jose in a matchup of the top two teams in the Pacific Division.
