Toledo triumphs

TOLEDO, Ohio – Barry Church’s 31-yard interception return gave Toledo a 21-0 first-half lead and the Rockets held on for a 31-21 victory over Bowling Green (4-8, 3-5) Tuesday.

Jalen Parmele’s 7-yard run put the Rockets (5-7, 3-5 Mid-American) ahead 7-0 with 2:57 left in the first quarter. Aaron Opelt scored from the 1-yard line with 8:08 left in the half to give Toledo a 14-0 lead.
