Sex offender moves to Clayton
The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office warned Wednesday that a Level III sex offender, the kind considered most likely to commit more sex crimes, has moved to the Clayton area.
Eugene R. Loebsack Jr., 37, is living in the 4600 block of Furze Road, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Loebsack was convicted of first-degree child molestation in 1994, when he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old baby sitter in Franklin County.
He also was convicted of two counts of second-degree sexual abuse in Multnomah County, Ore., in 1988.
Loebsack is white, 6 feet tall, weighs 250 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
