Page given Sky honor

Eastern Washington’s Brittney Page is the Big Sky Conference volleyball player of the week for the second time this season.

The senior outside hitter, who also received the honor the first week of the season, helped lead the Eagles (13-7) to victories over Idaho, Weber State and Portland State to improve their win streak to six.

“Community Colleges of Spokane cancelled its volleyball trip to College of Southern Idaho on Thursday because of what a release called “school commitments.”

Monday’s rain set back the start of the Greater Spokane League slowpitch playoffs a day.

Weather permitting, North Central will be at Central Valley and Lewis and Clark at Shadle Park at 3:30 p.m. today. Top seeds University and Rogers await the winners Wednesday.
