Brian Nelson and Richie Morales both ran for scores and Priest River scored two defensive touchdowns as the Spartans beat Potlatch 27-12 Friday in a non-league game at Priest River.

Priest River’s Robert Loesch had a 15-yard interception return in the fourth quarter and then Dan Marquardt had a 40-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown to seal the win.

In other non-league action, Chris Pratt scored four touchdowns, including a 91-yard touchdown run in the second quarter as Deary beat host Lakeside 58-12 at Plummer. Travis Miller and Dustin Eggars added two touchdowns apiece as the Mustangs racked up 481 rushing yards. … LaCrosse-Washtucna defeated Kootenai for its 49th consecutive win, a Washington state record (Story, C1).

North Star

Ryan Miller ran for 186 yards on 19 carries and had four touchdowns as Clark Fork defeated Mullan 38-14 in Clark Fork.

Northeast A League

Nate Johnson was 7 of 13 passing for 118 yards and two touchdowns as Colfax cruised to a 48-20 win over Newport in Colfax. Ben Aune carried the ball seven times for 86 yards in the win. …Andrew Dresback threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns as Kettle Falls slid past Freeman 14-13 in Freeman. Scott Ferguson caught both of Kettle Falls’ touchdowns passes. Kettle Falls’ Jakobi Bradeen scored on a 71-yard fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.

Greater Spokane

Max Manix carried the ball 13 times for 123 yards as Gonzaga Prep knocked off Mt. Spokane 30-7 at Gonzaga Prep. Manix scored on a 36-yard run on the Bullpups’ second offensive play of the game.

The Bullpups rushed the ball 42 times for 261 yards in the win.

Washington Non-league

Drake Costlow threw for two touchdowns as host Odessa blanked Liberty Christian 50-0 in 8-man action. The Tigers scored 32 points in the first quarter to put the game out of reach. … In other 8-man games, Greg Giese ran for 146 yards on 13 carries and scored three touchdowns as Almira/Coulee-Hartline beat Tri-Cities Prep 36-26 in Hartline. … Gabe Macias ran for 99 yards and Chris Gayton added 90 as Wapato beat Cheney 12-3 in Cheney. Cheney was held 30 yards rushing on 18 carries. … Cameron Bowman had 96 yards on eight carries, including an 80-yard touchdown run on the first play of the game as West Valley beat East Valley of Yakima 26-12 in Yakima. … Brian O’Kelley scored three TDs as host Clarkston routed Washington 50-8. Trent Line passed for 104 yards and one touchdown for the Bantams.
